We’re excited to welcome Mei Yang to Freesia Therapy Collective!
Mei specializes in supporting clients navigating cultural tension, intergenerational trauma, and family-of-origin pain. As a second-generation Canadian and first-generation U.S. immigrant, she brings both lived experience and clinical insight to her work. Raised in Montreal and shaped by early life experiences within a visible minority family, Mei understands how difficult it can be to feel safe, seen, or at home. Her background includes over two years of experience working with high-acuity adults, and she approaches therapy with compassion, creativity, and a commitment to meeting each client where they are.
Mei is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin, and is currently learning Spanish to serve a broader range of clients in the Seattle area. Her work is rooted in cultural humility and genuine curiosity, shaped by her own journey of healing through grief, shame, and the search for belonging. She brings a balance of presence and playfulness into her clinical work—believing that healing can happen not just through pain, but also through laughter, connection, and care.
