Ryan Lindsey, Washington Supervisor
Ryan Lindsey, LICSW, SUDP
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). I completed my undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Boston, where I studied political science, and received my Master of Social Work in 2015 from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in New York City. I moved to Washington shortly thereafter. I practiced clinical social work for six years at Sound – a large community behavioral health agency in King County – where I focused on substance use and cooccurring disorders until becoming a clinical supervisor. I entered private practice in 2021.
I am a LGBTQIA+-affirming therapist focusing on addiction counseling, interpersonal conflict, life transitions, and traumatic stress. My approach most frequently involves humanism, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. I often emphasize the importance of gratitude and always provide a safe space for clients to explore their spirituality.
