Aubrey Lough, Washington Supervisor
Aubrey Lough, LMFT, MHP, SUDP
I received my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University. I am a certified as a Mental Health Professional and I am licensed in Washington State as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Substance Use Disorder Professional. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families in both community mental health and private practice navigating issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, self harm, suicidal ideation, substance use concerns, identity issues, and relationship issues. This has given me a diverse experience that I bring to the supervisory relationship. I served as a supervisor for all staff on a 16-bed co-occurring disorders inpatient unit from December 2019 to December 2020. During this time, I supported staff with client treatment plan development, exploring evidenced-based treatment interventions, identifying effective individualized interventions for clients, writing effective clinical documentation, upholding legal and ethical codes, developing clinical identities, and practicing effective self-care particularly during the COVID pandemic.
I believe deeply in collaboration, and I am a person-centered therapist and supervisor. Respect for autonomy and collaboration are cornerstones of my practice. You determine the goals we work towards and are driving the metaphorical car of supervision. As a supervisor, it is my role to be your GPS, to suggest the best route to get to your destination and attain your goals. I am here to point out ways you may never have considered and to bring out the strengths and resources you may not have noticed were accessible. Supervisory sessions are a collaboration where we work together towards the outcomes you desire.
